Skoufis and staff assist Hudson Valley Food Bank

State Sen. James Skoufis and his team volunteered during the Friday morning shift at the Hudson Valley Food Bank in Cornwall in an effort to support food pantries across the Senate District. His team will be volunteering weekly at the food bank for the duration of the pandemic. In addition to this, Skoufis released an interactive map outlining all the food programs (food banks, food pantries, and soup kitchens) in the 39th Senate District. This resource can be found on his senate website: nysenate.gov/senators/james-skoufis.

Paul Stermer, the director of the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley said, “I thank Senator Skoufis for his continued dedication to the mission of the Food Bank, especially during times like these when our communities are depending on us now more than ever. I encourage those who can, to reach out about volunteering with us and look forward to having Senator Skoufis' team with us on a weekly basis moving forward.”

In addition to these initiatives, Skoufis has been sending regular email updates to constituents and encourages people to sign up for them by emailing skoufis@nysenate.gov. Skoufis’ office continues to be operational and available by email or phone: 845 567-1270.
