GOSHEN — The Mid-Hudson St. Patrick's Parade Committee on Wednesday announced the best marchers, band, color guard, and youth group of Sunday's parade in Goshen:

Best Marching Unit — Washingtonville High School U.S. Army JROTC

Best Color Guard — Orange County Sheriff Department Color Guard

Champion Band — Middletown High School Marching Band

Runner Up Band — New York City Retired Firefighters Pipes & Drums

Best Youth Group — Sheahan-Gormley School of Irish Dance

Most Outstanding Unit Overall — Pokolenie Dancers of Pine Island

"Thank you to Mr. Bill Murray and his judges!" says the parade committee.

Trophies will be awarded in a ceremony at a charity basketball game. Come watch as the parade committee and the Ancient Order of Hibernians take on the defending champs: the Central Orange County Italian American Association.

The tip-off is at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, in the main gym at John S. Burke Catholic High School, 80 Fletcher St., Goshen. Proceeds will benefit the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry.
