HIGHLAND MILLS — Palaia Vineyards & Winery is now offering craft beer brewed in New York State in addition to its award-winning wines at the winery.

The breweries include Rushing Duck from Chester, Newburgh Brewing, Captain Lawrence, Brooklyn, Saranac and Keegan Ale among others.

“I realized that so many people who visit would enjoy trying some of our local beers as well” Jan Palaggi, one of the owners of Palaia Winery, said in her press release announcing the menu change. “It just makes sense to offer more choices along with our live music every Friday, Saturday and Sunday."

Palaggi also said the winery is planning on adding a live TV subscription so that it can broadcast football on Sunday afternoons in the Sweet Clover Room on the big screen while the music is playing in the Treehouse.

Palaia offers a light menu as well as beverages with personal pizzas, cheese platters, chips and more.

Operating in a 200-year old barn with a view of 10 acres of vineyards, the winery is open daily from noon to 5:45 p.m. for tastings, and until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

It is located at 10 Sweet Clover Road in Highland Mills, only five miles North of the Woodbury Common Premium Outlet Center on Route 32 in Highland Mills.
