PAGE establishes international alliance

The Monroe-Woodbury Parents Advocating Gifted Education Group has established its first international alliance when PAGE secretary Jolene Gunther-Doherty visited gifted and talented education officials in Hungary in late March. She was part of a conversation about gifted and talented education in the U.S., Hungary and Japan. Gunther-Doherty presented an honorary PAGE membership to Csilla Fusznek, director of the European Talent Centre in Budapest during her visit in appreciation of Fusznek’s commitment to an international dialogue regarding the development of gifted and talented students. Gathering during the meeting are, in the bottom row, Zsuzsanna Szilagyi, left, the centre’s program assistant, Csilla Fusznek, and Masataka Watanabe of the University of Tsukuba in Japan. In the back row: Peter Grosschmid, left, the centre’s public relations director, and Jolene Gunther-Doherty.
