Orange & Rockland Utilities Inc., its employees and their friends and families completed a month-long, company-sponsored drive that collected more than $1,000, nearly 225 pairs of new infants’ and children’s pajamas and about 270 children’s books. All the pajamas and books are to be distributed to needy local youngsters through orphanages, shelters and other non-profit organizations. The money contributed is used to buy more pajamas for donation. The Pajama Drive is coordinated by O&R’s Business Ethics Council in conjunction with the Pajama Program, a New-York-based organization with chapters nationwide.
