MIDDLETOWN — Occupy Orange County will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at the Mulberry House Senior Center, located at 62-70 West Main St. in Middletown.

The new organization aims to develop working groups in Newburgh, Middletown, Goshen, and Port Jervis; and to support other organizations already working on local issues and the larger Occupy movement

"We invite those interested in a fair economy and transforming our democracy to join us," said Bennett Weiss of the coordinating committee. "Together we can do what we cannot do alone."

If possible, bring food donations for the People's Kitchen or Food Bank, books for the People's Library, and pamphlets for the literature table.

The snow date is March 8. For more information, contact Bennett Weiss at 569-8662 or benweiss@aol.com; or Verne M. Bell at 569-8965 or verneMB@aol.com.
