National prescription drug take back day

This Saturday, April 28, the Monroe Police Department will be taking part in the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. people can turn in any unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications to police headquarters where they will be properly destroyed. The Monroe Police have collected more than 40 pounds of unwanted prescription medications in two previous collections.
