The Monroe Village Board adopted its 2025-26 budget at its April 15 board meeting. Deputy Mayor Andrew Ferraro said the budget came under the state’s two-percent tax cap.
During the meeting, the village also awarded two contracts to TAM Enterprise for general construction and electrical construction for the Van Keuren Booster Pump Station.
The bid for general construction was $380,408, while the bid for electrical construction was $210,408.
The village also approved the services of LaBella Associates to support its efforts to obtain a NY Forward Grant. The amount spent on these services should not exceed $25,000.
According to Ferraro, this grant funding would be used for the village’s downtown revitalization efforts. In addition,
LaBella Associates will assist the village with further grant applications in 2025 for an amount not to exceed $19,000.
