A good-sized crowd gathered last Friday evening, Nov. 19, in downtown Monroe to mark the opening of the Lake Street Marketplace, a collection of local businesses and artisans now open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for holiday shopping.
The Lake Street Marketplace in Monroe is officially open and ready for business - just in time for the holidays.
The Monroe Chamber of Commerce, local business owners and other members of the community all stopped by for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting last Friday, ringing in the new marketplace.
Located at 13 Lake Street, this store is a collection of local businesses and artisans such as Shannon’s Eyes on the Pies, the Monroe Mercantile, the Crystal Connection, and so many more.
Open Fridays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
