    Dive-in movie at the Y

    Bring your towel, your family, and your friends to the Monroe YMCA tonight (Oct. 1) and dive into the pool to watch a Halloween movie from the water.

    It’s free, open to the entire community and promises to be a fun way to get you into the Halloween spirit. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7 p.m.

    Food truck festival coming to Monroe

    Bring your appetite to the food truck festival at 61 O&R Road on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

    The event is sponsored by the Town of Monroe and will benefit the Monroe American Legion Post 488 and the Harriman Post 1573.

    Trunk-or-Treat at Monroe Town Hall

    The Town of Monroe, together with the Greater Monroe Chamber of Commerce, will host what is being called the first annual Trunk-or-Treat event in the Town Hall parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.

    This free event will feature music, candy and pumpkin decorating by Monroe-Woodbury Girls Scouts

    Town hall is located at 1465 Orange Turnpike.
