Monroe. An Afternoon of Music at Javajo’s

On Saturday, May 15, from 1 to 4 p.m., Javajo’s will present an Afternoon of Music – a community event that brings together local businesses, organizations, and students to support local young musicians.

Featured will be live-outdoor performances by local students. Student performers include Victoria Lopez – who received a Golden Ticket to American Idol’s Hollywood week; Mia and Julia McHugh; Mimicking Mars – Jeremy Lanuti, Josh LeViseur, Will Nowosielski and James Dawson; Game On - Andres Vahoes and his students Ryan Kiesel, Junior Massillon, James and William Nicoll, Marley Vaught; Colin McHugh, and Tyler Landusky.

Also available for sale will be food and beverages offered by Javajo’s and The Empire Diner’s food truck.

The event is free, but donations are welcome. There are also raffle items to win generously donated by Angelo’s, Cyrus Jewelers, the Hair Bar, Jessica Klausner Photography, Monroe Jewelers, Music Boosters, O’Licious Cookies, Sol Full Yoga, Still Pond Massage Therapy and the Y. The total value of all prizes is more than $1,400.

All proceeds will benefit the Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters.

Javajo’s is located at 30 Millpond Parkway in Monroe.
