The Hanukkah reception held in the community room at the Tuxedo Train Station included children’s crafts, hot cocoa, doughnuts, latkes and schmoozing.
A nice crowd gathered in Tuxedo on Thursday, Dec. 26, to celebrate the lighting of the fifth night of Hanukkah with a celebration sponsored by Chabad.
The shamash was lit by Tuxedo Town Supervisor-elect Ken English.
Rabbi Pesach Burston led a menorah meditation and memorial honoring the victims of Jersey City.
Chana Burston spoke of the significance of the fifth candle. That is: "The night when light outshines the dark (unlit) candles."
Following the lighting, a festive reception was held in the community room with latkes, doughnuts, hot cocoa, crafts and schmoozing.
