M-W Middle School students selected for 2018 NYSBDA Honor Band

Five Monroe-Woodbury Middle School students were recently selected to perform in the 2018 Middle School Honor Band at the annual New York State Band Director’s Association (NYSBDA) Symposium in Syracuse on March 3. Sofia Bevacqua, Danielle Diaz, John English, Claire Galipeau and Bridget Quiroga were selected to represent the middle school in this prestigious ensemble. Due to the poor weather conditions and limited transportation that weekend, John and Claire were not able to get to Syracuse, but Sophia, Danielle and Bridget represented them and the district at the concert.
