Anyone who travels Route 17 regularly knows that these days they’re living the detour.

With the construction around Woodbury Common Premium Outlets at one end, and Legoland New York at the other, people have had to reschedule and reroute their lives to get around whatever traffic nightmares await them on their morning and evening commutes.

What do you do when traffic grinds to a halt on Route 17?

Here’s what we know about Route 17 construction for Monday, Sept. 9, through Friday, Sept. 13:

511 New York is reporting that roadwork on the westbound side between Exit 126-NY 94 (Orange) and Exit 124-NY 17A ramp (Goshen) is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, with various lane closures expected.
