In case you haven’t heard, the Hallmark Channel is in Goshen to film.

How exciting this is for Hallmark movie watchers who’ve been enthralled with the small-town locations of Hallmark movies. Now the Village of Goshen will be included in this list.

Shooting for the movie, “One December Night,” began on Sept. 7 and will continue until Monday, Sept. 27.

As is hinted by the title, this is a movie with a holiday theme and will air on Saturday, Nov. 13.

“This is a wonderful heartfelt Christmas tale about friendship, music, family and the things that ultimately bring us all together,” said Tony Glazer, film producer with Duet Film, LLC. “I think having it set in Goshen will make this even more special.”

Goshen’s Main Street, including Bliss Boutique, The Computer Guy The Stagecoach Inn, along with the village square are a few of the filming locations, said Glazer.

Extras, anyone

How about the need for extras in the film?

Said Glazer: “Anyone can sign up with the local Background Casting Director Hilary Greer at hbgcasting.com

After a successful experience in Orange County shooting “Redemption in Cherry Springs,” a Hallmark Channel movie airing on Sunday, Sept. 12, Choice Films is happy to film once more in Orange County.

“We loved working for the film,” Glazer said. “It’s an exciting mystery thriller with wonderful performances and shot almost exclusively in Newburgh, with additional locations in Beacon and Middletown.”

Film-friendly locations

The film company is once more in Orange County since, said Glazer, “It provides a wide variety of great, film-friendly locations to film. It’s a unique and beautiful place to film in and we feel especially fortunate to have had the opportunity to work and live here.”

The filming crew is following all procedures to keep the cast and crew safe and healthy, including frequent testing, mandatory masks, Zone A, B, C, placement for containment, closed sets and social distancing, and encouraging all crew and cast to be vaccinated.

Essentials

The movie’s production staff is seeking local help during their time here, like car rentals, catering, carpenters, hotel or other lodging.
