Kevin Watson sworn in as Woodbury Police Chief

Kevin Watson was sworn in Woodbury Police chief during ceremonies at the Town Board meeting on Dec. 15. Watson, 47, began his career in law enforcement in 1997 as an Orange County Sheriff's deputy. He graduated the Orange County Police Academy in 1998 and immediately began working in the Village of Monroe as a police officer. Watson has been with the Town of Woodbury Police Department since April 2000. He was promoted to sergeant in September 2003. He also has graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and has attended several leadership seminars/training from the International Association Chief of Police, the Southern Police Institute and Penn State University.
