MONROE — Hudson Valley Imaging has opened a new center with a full line of radiology imaging services next to the ShopRite Plaza across from the Mill Pond on Route 17M in Monroe.

Hudson Valley Imaging is affiliated with St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital and has been providing radiology services to Orange County since 2003 at its center in New Windsor.

“We are very excited to be a part of a continuing effort to better serve the patients and physicians of our local community,” Dr. Joseph Racanelli, Hudson Valley Imaging’s medical director, said in a press release announcing the Monroe center’s opening. “The center offers a separate women’s suite, private registration areas and a soft relaxed spa-like environment. We wanted to provide a better choice for imaging in the southern part of the county and offer patients a pristine, technologically advanced, conveniently located facility”

The Monroe center offers a state-of-the-art 3T MRI which enhances the images and reduces exam time for patients, Racanelli added. “Anyone who has had an MRI in the past will really appreciate less time in the scanner.”
