Great American Mt. Peter Ski and Snowboard Sale set for this weekend

WARWICK — It may be hard to imagine with the summer like weather we've been having this month but it's not too early to "Think snow!"
And to get everyone in the mood for winter sports, the annual Great American Ski and Snowboard Sale at Mount Peter will be held this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine.
The sale on new merchandise is run by consultants from Ski Barn, who will fill Mount Peter's Sunrise Lodge with equipment, clothing and accessories. They promise to offer great deals and heavy discounts.
You can also sign up for your season pass, multi-week program or race program before the price increase next week.
Mount Peter's Job Fair is also this weekend so if you're interested, stop by and fill out an application and, as a bonus, all Mount Peter employees get a free season pass.
This year there will be live musical entertainment all weekend and the Hot Spot Grill will be open as well as a beer and wine bar.
And local chainsaw artist Jim Haggart will be on hand with live demonstrations along with face painting, pumpkin painting and a bounce house for kids.
During the event Mount Peter will offer chair lift rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The rides are free for season pass holders and $5 for all others.
Riders will have a spectacular view of the entire Warwick Valley.
