Give your unneeded turkeys to veterans

MONROE — Anyone who is getting a free turkey from ShopRite or Stop ‘n’ Shop and doesn’t need it for their Thanksgiving table can donate it to American Legion Post 488, who will give it to veterans in need.
All turkey donors need to do is stop by the Post’s hall on Lakes Road any day after 2 p.m.
The turkeys will be kept in the hall’s freezers and passed on to veterans in time for Thanksgiving dinner.
