MONROE — Monroe Junior Girl Scout Troop 270 learned more about the justice system during its recent visit to the Monroe Village Justice Court.
The troop heard from Monroe Village Justice Forrest Strauss, Court Clerk Carin Szkodzinsky and Court Officer Fred Barone, who discussed the three branches of government, the role of the court in every day society, and the work they each do as part of the court’s daily operations.
Strauss said it was important for people to see how the court contributes to the community beyond its regular duties.
