Almost 250 Monroe Girl Scouts and leaders took part in the Monroe Girl Scout Community's annual overnight Camporee, held June 5 at Rosemarins Day Camp in Monroe, organized by the girls, leaders and husbands of Troops 704 and 332. Troop leaders Kim Kasch and Lisa Wilkinson thanked all the volunteers who assisted in making this year’s Camporee one of the best, including Scott Rosemarin, Lotito’s Deli in Ramsey, N.J., and the equipment rental company. This year's theme was "Mission Impossible" and included archery, paint ball shooting, "grenade extraction," "agent training," "hostage detainment," self-defense tactics, dealing with "explosives'" and even being duct taped to a tree, in addition to a movie under the stars, a campfire under the auspices of the Monroe Fire Department and two meals.
