Fifth annual shortest St. Patrick's Day parade set for March 16 in the Village of Monroe
MONROE — The Bourbon Street Bar & Grill, in conjunction with The Cigar Depot and Spill the Beans Cafe, will hold the fifth annual shortest St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, March 16.
Lineup will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the parade steps off at 1 p.m.
The 306-foot parade will begin at Spill the Beans and end at Bourbon Street where the exhausted marchers can rest.
This year's Grand Marshal is Kenny Ramlow, who is a graduate of the Monroe-Woodbury BOCES program. He loves to play hockey, loves oldies music and Bob Ross. He's also a diehard Steelers fan. Ramlow has worked at ShopRite in Monroe for 20 years.
Following the grand marshal will be pipers and drummers and many marchers from the area.
If you are interested in marching in the parade, contact Bourbon Street Bar at 782-8501 or The Cigar Depot 782-3528 if you are interested in marching.
You can always just show up and cheer the marchers on.
