Cornwall Help release native ladybugs at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum
On Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m., join environmental educators at the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road, Cornwall for the "Ladybug Release."
Learn all about these incredible insects, their unique adaptations, and how helpful they really are. After a brief presentation, help hand release native ladybugs into the fields and gardens.
“Did you know that Ladybugs aren’t actually bugs?" Environmental Educator Carl Heitmuller asked. "They’re part of Coleoptera, the beetle order, so many entomologists prefer to call them ‘lady beetles.’”
This program recommended for adults and families with children ages 5 and up. Admission for museum members: $5/adults, $3/children. Not-yet-members: $8/adults, $6/children.
