    Graduations Keri Fessler of Monroe graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She was a 2007 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School.

    Dean’s list Zachary S. Nussbaum of Highland Mills has been named to second honors dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. To be eligible, students must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.79.

    Andrew T. Garry of Monroe, a senior at Niagra University, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester. To qualify, students must maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.25 for the semester.

    Lauren Russo of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at The College of New Jersey. To qualify, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5.

    Lauren is currently enrolled in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, majoring in psychology.

    The following students were recognized for their academic achievement in the fall 2011 semester at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass.:

    Shannon Chambers of Monroe for making the president’s list.

    Brenden Bourdeau of Monroe for making the dean’s list.

    Jake Kim of Monroe for making the dean’s list.

    To be named to the president’s list, a full-time student must have a grade point average of 3.7 or higher with no course grade below 3.0 during the term.

    To be named to the dean’s list, a full-time student must have a grade point average of 3.3 or higher with no course grade below 2.0 during the term.

    The following students were named to the president’s list for the fall 2011 semester at SUNY Oswego:

    Joseph F. Cook of Central Valley, a junior (psychology).

    Marti Flicker-Podberesky of Monroe, a freshman (undeclared major).

    Nicola E. Milone of Monroe, a senior (elementary education).

    Nicholas R. Staiano of Monroe, a senior (accounting).

    Kelly J. Way of Monroe, a senior (secondary education).

    Students who achieve grade averages of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale are named to the President’s List, the top 6.3 percent of Oswego students.

    Demi G. Siskind of Harriman, a freshman (psychology).

    To be included on the Deans’ List, students must have a semester grade average of 3.30 to 3.79.

    Carly Kiess of Tuxedo, a student athlete at Binghamton University, was named to the fall 2011 Athletic Director’s Honor Roll after achieving semester grade point averages (GPA) of 3.30 or higher.

    Carly, who is on the Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country team, attended Monroe-Woodbury high school.

    Honors, awards, programs Brittany Austin of Highland Mills, a student at Dominican College in Orangeburg, was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for first-year students.

    To qualify, students must maintain a 3.25 or higher GPA and be in the top 20 percent of their class in the first year of college.
