Clotheslyne launches spring cleaning clothes drive
Goshen. Those who use the laundry service app can now also opt to donate bags of clothing to local charities.

Clotheslyne, an on-demand laundry service app for gig economy workers, has launched a clothing drive initiative for April. Anyone who uses the Clotheslyne app to schedule a laundry pick-up will also be able to opt to donate their gently used clothing. The company will then deliver it to local Salvation Army branches or community charities that accept clothing donations.
According to the company, the ability to donate clothing will be available year-round, even after its initial April “spring cleaning” push. This initiative will be available in several local communities, including Goshen, Monroe, Woodbury, Middletown, Port Jervis, Chester, and Florida.
In a press release, the company said, “Clotheslyne is committed to being more than just a service provider. As a community-driven platform, Clotheslyne seeks to offer meaningful ways for customers to contribute to local charities and support those in need, especially during the spring cleaning season.”
To donate, people must download the Clotheslyne app and indicate in the special request section of their Clotheslyne order that they have clothing for donation, along with an estimate of how many bags they wish to donate. If this step is missed, customers can let their Clotheslyne provider (Clotheslyner) know before pick-up. Donations should be placed in a separate bag clearly labeled as “Donation Clothing.”
Clotheslyne added that donated items will not be mixed with laundry orders and that donations will not be dropped off until 48 hours after the order completion, allowing customers the opportunity to reconsider any items.
”We are excited to launch this initiative and help our customers contribute to their local communities in a meaningful way,” said Daniel Feliciano, CEO of Clotheslyne. “It’s about making spring cleaning not just about decluttering but also about giving back. We believe that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.”
