Auditions for Jubilate Community Youth Choir set for Sept. 29

WARWICK — Jubilate, the youth choir of the Hudson Valley, has announced auditions for the 2012-13 season on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Requirements are good vocal talent and a very serious commitment to a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule. Different and overlapping choir experiences are offered: two treble choirs, small liturgical choir, young men’s chorus, and full Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass (SATB) festival chorus.

Young men’s chorus (middle and high school tenors and basses) auditions are 10 to 11 a.m.
Treble voice (grades 4-12) auditions are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Jubilate (pronounced yoo-bih-LAH-tey), members hail from Blooming Grove, Central Valley, Chester, Florida, Goshen, Hewitt, N.J., Highland Mills, Monroe, Pine Island, Sugar Loaf, Tuxedo Park and Warwick.
Jubilate is directed by David Crone and Steven Wing.
The choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, with the Classic Choral Society and at numerous houses of worship and community events.
