A season of cheer

HIGHLAND MILLS — The Allegro Youth Orchestra recently completed an uncommonly busy holiday season of bringing cheer and harmonies to their community.
Starting with Goshen’s Sapphire Rehabilitation on Nov. 25 and followed by a chilly outdoor welcome heralding Santa’s arrival on Dec. 1 at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, Allegro students began the season right.
Allegro’s cellist Alex Prizgintas followed on Dec. 7, performing at Goshen’s Harness Racing Museum for its 43rd annual Holiday Concert.
The group completed the season on Dec. 24th with a mini flash mob at Monroe’s Stop & Shop where they gathered to support Salvation Army’s Cliff Berchtold who was watching over the kettle and ringing accompanied by his wonderful Standard Poodle Rocket.
Later that very same day, Allegro members closed their season by returning to Sapphire Rehabilitation to play for their friends wishing them all a very healthy and happy New Year.
