HIGHLAND MILLS — Even though the weather last Saturday was imperfect, approximately 700 residents and their guests enjoyed the Woodbury Park Commission’s annual Kids’ Day at the Earl Reservoir (aka the “Rez”) in Highland Mills.

Activities included inflatable bounce houses, face painting, a magic show by Matt Stevens, Operation Safe Child by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, a K-9 demonstration by Officer Robert Montes, sand sculptures by Meyers Vael, a tug-of-war and, the highlight of the day, of course, the local fire department spraying residents in the Rez from their aerial ladder.

Plenty of ice pops and goodie bags were distributed, and DJ Steve provided the background music.

The Parks Department wishes to thank all those who made the day such a great success.

And The Photo News offers its thanks once again to Fred Ungerer, one of Woodbury’s park commissioners, who supplied the photographs from the event.
