Leonards ask District 12 Republicans for their committee vote
To the editor: We are life long area residents. We have a lifetime commitment to public service in Monroe and are proud of it. In our senior year at Monroe-Woodbury we were voted as the two people that had done the most for the school. Even then we were conscious of public service. It is no accident that people with common interests work together, especially if they are husband and wife. We chose to remain in Monroe and raised our family here and recently celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Both our sons are Monroe-Woodbury graduates and our two granddaughters are now in the Monroe-Woodbury system. We have been members of many community organizations over the years. Currently, I am the Town Supervisor. I also am on the Board of the Community Foundation of Orange County and a member of the Citizens Foundation. Ed is a eight-year member of the Monroe Joint Parks Commission where he started the Turkey Trot as a community event on Thanksgiving weekend. He also served nine years on the Monroe-Woodbury School Board. One thing is certain: we will remain in Monroe serving our community for years to come. We have always kept our District 12 informed of political changes by doing mailings when pertinent. We have been involved with the Monroe Republican Committee since 1990. I served as a state committee woman and am a current representative to the county committee. Ed serves as our treasurer. We chair our annual Hudson River Boat Ride fund raiser. Our signatures came from across our district, our opponent's signatures came from one small area. We have worked hard, served diligently and are well respected locally and at the county. We respectfully request District 12 Republicans for your Vote on Primary Day as your committeemen. Thank you. Sandy and Ed Leonard Monroe
