Leonard and Weeks are unselfish public servants'
To the editor: Although I do not customarily write such letters, I feel compelled to offer this one in support of two candidates for the Monroe Town Board, namely Sandy Leonard for Supervisor and Don Weeks for Councilman. Despite being inundated with the questionable promises and endless rhetoric of other candidates who tell us what they will do (rather than what they stand for or hope to do), I have noticed that these two candidates are the only ones who are able and/or willing to tell us what they have done. As a life-long resident of the area, I have devoted countless hours to public service over the years, including 7½ years as a member and vice president of the Monroe-Woodbury Board of Education, a trustee of the Monroe Free Library and vice chairman of the Regional Parking Authority to name just a few; and I can honestly state without hesitation that Sandy Leonard and Don Weeks are two of the finest, most unselfish public servants that it has ever been my pleasure to know. They deserve your support on Election Day. Thank you. Sincerely, John H. Bieber Harriman
