Learning about the state police

Monroe Daisy Troop 464 recently visited the New York State Police Trooper Barracks in Monroe, where Troop 464 member Courtney Key’s father, Investigator Jay Key, works. Along with learning about how 911 calls are handled, being fingerprinted and going inside state police cars, Trooper Neil Dow of the State Police’s Montgomery Barracks and his dog, K-9 officer “Jake,” spoke to the girls about the K-9 unit. Gathering with Dow and Jake are Courtney Key, Kelsey O’Brien, Emma Mattison, Brianna Casey, Sofia Bevacqua, Megan Sheerin, Madison Fulton, Cassidy Maher, Angelina Conklin, Elizabeth Arena, and Daniella Piazza. Also joining them were siblings Julia Maher, Marissa Key and Samantha Key.
