Mayor Stephen H. Welle presented a service award to long-time Harriman Village Justice Philip Caiazza during a retirement ceremony held following the board meeting this week. Among those who offered testimonials were former Mayors Myron Frerichs and Donald Humphrey as well as former Trustee Bruce Chichester. Along with his 17 years on the bench, Caiazza served 12 years on the Zoning Board of Appeals. He also served as a village trustee and as a member of the Planning board. Caiazza was a career accountant in the business sector who has lived in the Village of Harriman for 35 years. His place on the village bench will be taken by Christine K. Weinberg, who was elected earlier this month. (Photo by Bill Lemanski)
