Japanese delegation visits county's Emergency Services Center

GOSHEN — A delegation from Japan recently visited the Orange County Emergency Services Center in Goshen. The delegation was comprised of the Japan Nuclear Energy Safety Organization (JNES) and Mitsubishi representatives, along with Preferred Licensing Services, Entergy, and KLD Associates. While at the center the group toured the Emergency Operation Center, the Command Room, the Press Information area, as well as the Dose Assessment Room. The Emergency Services Center houses the Department of Emergency Services’ Divisions of Emergency Communications (E911), Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Police Liaison, and department administration. It also provides work space for the medical examiner’s and geographical information services’ offices.
