Newburgh St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital recently unveiled a major enhancement to its Kaplan Family Center for Emergency Medicine in Newburgh. A new $1.2 million CT scanner suite has been built that will expedite the treatment of strokes and other conditions. The initiative was made possible by a $700,000 grant from the William and Elaine Kaplan Family Charitable Foundation, and a $250,000 federal grant secured through U.S. Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY).
