Got soup?

Monroe - The Monroe Food Pantry is in need of soup. Right now, the food pantry is helping to feed 80 families and that number keeps growing. Cans of soup are the most expensive item they buy, and this time of year, it’s a nutritious hot meal for all ages. As you are out and about getting your Super Bowl supplies, pick up a few cans of soup for the food pantry and deliver them to 47 Maple Ave., Monroe, on their donation days: Wednesday and Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The people who run the pantry ask that expiration dates be checked before donating. Donations are accepted throughout the year. For more information, or if you know of anyone in need, please have them call the pantry’s hotline: 845-783-6378.
