Monroe - On Saturday, April 16, Smith’s Clove Park sponsored its annual egg hunt Participants were separated into four age groups: Those under 3; three to four years old; five to seven years old; and those children eight to ten years of age. The under 3 age group collected eggs placed on and about the many toys in the park’s activity room as parents followed them filming their child’s first-time event. Meanwhile, hundreds of multi-colored eggs were scattered around the two playground areas and the open field near the upper pavilion as each group scrambled to find the marked eggs indicating that they had won one of the many prizes donated by Fran’s Hallmark. As the kids were focused on collecting all the eggs, the Monroe Ambulance Corps escorted the Holiday Bunny to the park where she met with about 120 children and handed out goody bags. As they were leaving, each family received a gladiolus plant for their outside garden. Lisa Killion from Willow Creek Farm in Vernon, N.J., also was on hand with her group of barnyard animals for the kids to pet and feed along with pony rides.
