Going, but not going too far

TUXEDO - Tuxedo School District Superintendent Joseph Zanetti plans to stay involved in life in Tuxedo, though not, obviously, in a superintendent capacity. He said he’ll be looking forward to attending sporting events - now as an alumnus himself, of sorts, - and school/community events. A lifelong Orange County resident, Zanetti - a graduate of the Pine Bush School District who lives in Middletown - plans to stay in the area and become adjusted to a new life which doesn’t include the 7 by 24, 365-day commitment that school superintendents give to their districts. While his wife Susan will continue her work as a registered nurse at Orange Regional Medical Center, Zanetti has two Labradors he plans to spend more time hanging around with. Taking them for extended rides in his truck are some of the fun times the dogs can look forward to having with him. Zanetti, the father of three grown sons, also likes to work around the house, though he doesn’t know how long he’ll last working on home improvement projects. He also plans to spend more time at the gym. And after a respite from his superintendent’s life, Zanetti added he’ll put himself out in the market to hopefully work as an interim superintendent somewhere in the vicinity, and maybe even teach if the opportunity fits his new lifestyle. - Nancy Kriz
