Gas line under construction

A section of the Heritage Trail in Monroe, parallel to Gilbert Street Extension, is temporarily closed due to the installation by Orange & Rockland Utilities of a 16-inch gas line. The new pipeline is required to supply the increased demand in the Monroe area and will cross the north end of Crane Park and Millpond Parkway.
