GOSHEN-If you have too much to drink this New Year's Eve, take a free cab ride home, courtesy of Dana Distributors in Goshen. The local Anheuser-Busch wholesaler has teamed up with participating bars and restaurants to offer the Alert Cab program. Alert Cab gives rides home to customers within a ten-mile radius of participating bars and restaurants in Middletown, Goshen, and Montgomery, and other locations in Orange, Sullivan, Rockland counties from 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, through 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 1. Bartenders may discreetly approach customers who have had too much to drink, recommending that they not drive. Or customers can ask the bartender for assistance. If the customer agrees that he or she should not drive, the bartender will call the cab company to dispatch a taxi to the tavern or restaurant. The customer's keys are placed in an envelope marked with the exact location of the customer's car and the customer's home address. The taxi driver takes the customer home and then hands over the key envelope. Dana Distributors has provided more than 500 free A
