Frank Beams is ‘best person for the job'

Currently, a lot of political maneuvering is going on in regard to the position for Superintendent of Highways. We need someone with experience that knows the community, the personnel involved and how to deal with the situations that will arise. Public safety is involved for the Town, all three Villages, the School District and everyone who drives through our community. Decisions have to be made quickly and we need some who knows what they’re doing. This is not the place to be learning on the job. All the people running for this position are good decent people, but none of them except one has any real idea of what this job entails. That person is Frank Beams, with 34-year of experience, 22 of it with the Town of Monroe Highway Department and the last eight were as foreman. I support him whole-heartedly. I ask you to come together on this issue and put the community first. I pledge to work with whoever the public selects, but I ask you to support Frank. He is one of the hardest working, dedicated, tried and true people that I have ever know. He is also the best person for the job. Thank you for your consideration. Sandy Leonard Monroe Town Supervisor
