Forum for abortion rights set for Feb. 9

    Goshen — Supporters of abortion rights will assemble for a bipartisan breakfast forum at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen. They will talk about how to preserve women’s reproductive choices in New York State as the federal government continues to limit women’s reproductive rights under the U.S. Constitution. Sponsored by the Planned Parenthood of the Mid-Hudson Valley Action Fund, the forum brings together Assemblyman Joel Miller (R,C-Poughkeepsie), Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther (D-Forestburgh), Orange County Clerk Donna Benson (R), and Montgomery Supervisor Susan Cockburn (D) to talk on “What Happens Now? Exploring Choice in the Current Political Climate,” with Beth Quinn, Times Herald-Record columnist, as moderator. The cost of the breakfast is $25 per person. For reservations call 615-1321.
