Financial literacy program for women

    Goshen — Literacy Orange will be conducting classes on financial literacy for women, along with professionals who have volunteered their expertise on specific topics relating to today’s economy: living debt free, credit, scholarships and planning. The Warwick Savings Foundation has provided the funding for this non-traditional educational program. The initiative will promote financial stability and independence for no less than 20 participants. The program consists of five, three-hour sessions, and one, six-hour class (defensive driving). The first five sessions will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., allowing for normal work schedules. The defensive driving class will be conducted on one Saturday for six hours. The course fee is covered by the grant. The only student fee will be $30 to cover the cost of the defensive driver instructor’s materials. The sessions will be held at Keller Williams Realty, 2004 Route 17M, in Goshen.
