Donnery ‘overshadows the competition'

To the editor: Roxanne Donnery may be small in stature but she clearly overshadows the competition when it comes to helping her constituents. Whenever there is a town parade, Roxanne is there cheering on the scouts, fire department and town folk. Whenever there is a county issue at hand, Roxanne comes to our town board meeting to explain it to us. When the speed limit on our state-controlled road was raised to a dangerous speed, no one knew what to do about it. No one except Roxanne, of course. Within a week of a phone call to Roxanne (who actually answers her own phone), the right department was informed and the problem resolved - keeping my family and yours safer on our roads. When no one even thought about the ramifications of the KJ pipeline, Roxanne was on it. She was a lone fighter in the early days of the opposition. With her hard work and determination, the resolution from the Orange County Legislators passed 20 to 1. This was a landmark vote. And we have Roxanne to thank for it. Don’t be fooled by rhetoric - let actions speak for themselves. My action? To vote for Roxanne Donnery for the Orange County Legislator. Mindy S. Prosperi Highland Mills
