Cornell Cooperative Extension announces awards, election

MIDDLETOWN — Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County will hold its annual meeting and awards dinner at Catlin Gardens in Slate Hill on Monday, Dec. 5. The Social Hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person. To make a reservation, call Peggy Kral at 344-1234. The following awards will be presented: Distinguished Service Award — Dorothy Reichle of Walden. This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates outstanding commitment and service to Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County and its mission. Friend of Extension Award — David Jolly, Commissioner, Orange County Department of Social Services, Goshen. This award is presented to an individual or group who demonstrates support for the Cornell Cooperative Extension and participates in its programs. The business meeting agenda includes the election of the board of directors. Candidates are Charles R. Quinn of Cornwall-on Hudson, Bernadette M. Reichle of Walden, Mary I.
