    Graduations Christie Gorman of Highland Mills graduated from Marist College with a degree in psychology and a degree in English with a concentration in writing. Christie graduated summa cum laude with high honors in English and high honors in core and liberal arts study. She was an honoree from the Marist College Honors Program, Sigma Tau Delta, Psi Chi, Sigma Alpha Pi and Alpha Chi Honor Societies. Christie was accepted into a doctorate program at SUNY Albany, and will begin work on her Ph.D in school psychology this fall. Dean’s list Lauren Alifano of Monroe has earned a place on the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester in Dean College in Franklin, Mass. She is a dance major. Students are eligible to be named to the dean’s list if they have successfully completed an academic course load of 14 credits per semester with a grade-point average of 3.3 or higher. Stephen Kilduff of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 and spring 2011 semesters at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Mass. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.25 or better and have no incomplete grades. In the fall 2011 semester, Stephen will continue studying English with a concentration in writing. He also will be a page design editor of the Beacon newspaper. Stephen was a 2008 graduate of George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo as a resident of the Dutch Hollow section of Warwick.
