    Graduations Amy H. Maher has graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University a Buffalo Class with awards for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the New York Physical Therapy Minority Student Award. Amy is a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School Class of 2004. Eric Thorsen, son of Richard and Sharon Thorsen of Monroe, graduated magna cum laude from Manhattan College with a bachelor of arts degree. He is a 2007 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School and will be attending New York Law School in the fall. Tiffany R. Bullis of Monroe has graduated from Sienna College with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. She is a 2007 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. Nicholas Gillan of Monroe has graduated magna sum laude from the University of Albany with a degree in communications. He also was a member of the Lambda Pi Eta, the communication studies honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA). He is a 2007 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. The SUNY Orange dean’s list is comprised of those full-time students not on academic probation who achieved at least a 3.0 quality point average over the course of the semester. Anna M. May of Highland Mills, the daughter of Robert May of Garrison and Maria May of Southfields and a 2010 graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy, Washington Township, N.J., has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition. Carol Ann Chalupa of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at SUNY Cortland. A 2008 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury, she is studying physics, mathematics and education. Travis Jones of Monroe was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at the University at Albany. Brendan Nosal of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list at Fordham University for the third consecutive semester. He will be a junior in September, majoring in economics. James A. Bickerstaff of Harriman has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Towson University in Maryland. In order to qualify, a student must maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average. A defenseman for the Towson ice hockey team, James was recently awarded Scholar Athlete for the 2010-2011 season. Bobby Leiser of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts. To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.2 or better for the semester. A 2005 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, he will be a senior when he returns to Fitchburg in September.
