    Graduations Jennifer McComb of Highland Mills has graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Jennifer graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and sciences and psychology from the University at Buffalo in 2009; she is a 2005 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. Kramer Jakubek of Monroe graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor of science degree in clinical health studies. He also was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma in recognition of high academic and athletic achievements in swimming and track and field. He will be continuing his studies next year at Ithaca College, pursuing his doctor of physical therapy. The following students recently received undergraduate degrees from the State University of New York at New Paltz: Aruna Puthota of Harriman received a bachelor of science degree in biology. Sara Buchanan of Highland Mills received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. Kathleen Egan of Highland Mills received a bachelor of science degree in childhood education 1-6. Heather Cruger of Monroe received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. Kyle Defalco of Monroe received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Tina Kelly of Harriman received a CAS in school business leadership. Wilson Castro of Highland Mills received a CAS in school leadership. Jaclyn Becher of Monroe received a MSED in special education: adolescence education. Lori Dinapoli of Monroe received a MAT in adolescence education: English. Mary Sherman of Monroe received a MPS in humanistic-multicultural education. Dean’s list Kate Fitzgerald of Highland Mills has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at SUNY Cortland, where she is studying inclusive special education. The daughter of John and Grace Fitzgerald, she is a 2009 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School. Jenna Davidson of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at SUNY Cortland, where she is pursuing a degree in recreation, parks and leisure studies. A 2010 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, she is the daughter of Gerard and Maureen Davidson. Katherine A. Santoianni of Tuxedo, a senior studying physical education, was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Students eligible for the dean’s list are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and enrolled full-time. Hillary Lindsay of Tuxedo Park has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Connecticut College in New London, Conn. She is a member of the Class of 2013. Dean’s honors is a recognition for students who have earned a grade point average of at least 3.3. Colleen Haney of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2011 semester at Marist College in Poughkeepsie. She is a member of the class of 2014. Awards, honors, programs SUNY Oswego has awarded merit scholarships to more than 600 incoming students, including $5,000 Dean’s Awards to: Marti Flicker-Podberesky of Monroe. Christopher R. O’Neill of Monroe. SUNY Oswego also has awarded merit scholarships to more incoming students, including $2,000 Merit Awards to several local residents. They are: Connor E. Emmert of Central Valley. Meghan P. Booth of Highland Mills. Kathryn Nunez of Highland Mills. Matthew Chrostowski of Monroe. Christopher K. Coomey of Monroe. All of the scholarship recipients have reserved a place in Oswego’s incoming freshman class for the fall semester. Classes will begin Aug. 29. The awards recognize students’ past academic achievements and potential for success.
