    Graduations Kelly Ann Moltzen of Harriman completed an accredited 16-month dietetic internship program at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Bronx this past December and obtained her masters of public health degree from New York University in January. Kelly also recently completed her certification requirements to become a registered dietitian by passing an exam administered by the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association. She is a recipient of the New York State Dietetic Association’s 2011 Ruth Harmon Memorial Award and is currently employed by The Institute for Family Health as a Nutrition/ Diabetes Education Coordinator in their Bronx Health REACH program. Chris Dollbaum, a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, class of 2006, graduated Colorado State University in December with a bachelor of science in construction management and a minor in business administration. The following residents graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh this fall: James Thomas Charters of Harriman. Ryan Wade Harris of Monroe. Zaneta M. Martinez of Harriman. Evan Christian Mele of Highland Mills. Dean’s list Samantha Townsend of Monroe earned a perfect grade point average of 4.0 during the fall 2010 semester at SUNY Oneonta and has been named to the college’s Provost’s List. Of the more than 5,800 undergraduates enrolled at the college, 135 qualified for the fall 2010 Provost’s list by earning a perfect GPA while carrying a course load of at least 12 semester hours. Robert Vite of Central Valley has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at Paul Smith’s College in upstate New York. Vite, who is majoring in recreation, adventure travel and ecotourism, is enrolled in the college’s School of Forestry and Natural Resources and earned a semester average of 3.3 or higher to receive this distinction. Lee Denaro of Monroe has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Mass. Sarah E. Bosco of Highland Mills has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Va. To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.4 or better for the semester. Stephen Moltzen of Harriman has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. To qualify, a student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 semester hours or more. Stephen, a 2008 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, is enrolled in the University’s Business/ Cinematic Arts Joint program and during the spring 2011 term, is participating in USC’s study abroad program as an exchange student in Germany. Katie G. Pagano of Highland Mills and a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, Pa. The list includes those who have earned an average of at least 3.25 out of a possible 4.0 with no grades less than a C- and who have taken a minimum of 12 credits per term for a letter grade if full-time. Daniel Monahan of Monroe, a freshman at Western New England in Springfield, Mass., was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester. A finance major, Daniel carried a GPA of 3.8 for the semester. He also was selected to the ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) Northeast honor roll. A 2008 graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School, he is a forward on the men’s hockey squad. Daniel was honored Feb. 2 as the college’s male athlete-of-the-week. He is the son of Terence and Diane Monahan of Monroe. The following students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average to attain dean’s list status. Angela Palaggi, a member of the class of 2011, is a theatre major and art minor from Highland Mills. She a graduate of Cornwall Central High School. Mark Yulis, a member of the class of 2013, is a biochemistry major from Highland Mills. He is a graduate of Monroe-Woodbury High School.
