Central Valley church hosts ‘Harvest Turkey Dinner' on Nov. 6

Central Valley - The “Harvest Turkey Dinner” at the Central Valley United Methodist Church, located at 12 Smith Clove Road, is a wonderful way to meet townfolk and make new friends. The dinner is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 6. Takeout dinners can be picked up rom 5 to 5:45 p.m. and cost $12 per person. The popular 6 p.m. sit -down dinner still has some tickets available but they are limited and going fast. These tickets are $12 fro adults, and $5 for children under 10. Here’s a fact: The volunteers who prepare the meal usually peel more than 135 pounds of potatoes for the event. And there are lots of home made pies besides all the trimmings that go with turkey.
