CENTRAL VALLEY Watch out, Buddy Valastro, because The Next Great Baker may actually be a Central Valley Elementary School student.
More than 100 students participated in the annual CVE Bake Off, held late last month and sponsored by the Central Valley PTA, where students participated in special baking categories unique to their grade levels.
Students were awarded ribbons for first, second and third place in each category. Judging took place by district-wide school personnel and community representatives.
Officials said students and their families had enjoyed sampling the goodies after the judges made their ribbon selections.
